Disaster Recovery Loan Program

Home Repair Loan Applications Now Being Accepted

If you are a member or a descendant of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and your home or residential rental property sustained damage as a result of severe storms and straight-line winds on June 21, 2025, you may be eligible for an interest-free deferred loan to make necessary repairs.

Minnesota Housing's Disaster Recovery Loan Program offers loans to eligible individuals whose home sustained damage because of a natural disaster. The program can fill the financial gap when private insurance and federal programs are not enough to return a home to its pre-disaster condition. Loans can be used for a primary residence or rental property for repair or replacement costs not already covered by other assistance.

Application deadline is October 30, 2026
