Draft of Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice, 2018 Annual Action Plan and Substantial Amendment to 2017-2021 Consolidated Plan Open for Public Comment

The State of Minnesota (through Minnesota Housing, Department of Employment and Economic Development, and Department of Human Services) is developing its Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing (AI) and  2018 Annual Action Plan (including a substantial amendment to the 2017-2021 Consolidated Plan).

The State submits its Action Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) annually as one of the conditions of receiving federal housing and community development funding through the Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships, Emergency Solutions Grants, Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS programs, and the National Housing Trust Fund.

The State is developing an AI as part of HUD’s requirements in the Federal Fair Housing Act to affirmatively further fair housing choice and create economic opportunities.
